Dear Parents/Carers,

As you are undoubtedly aware, schools today have very limited budgets, which means that the more fun, out of the ordinary activities and learning experiences we can offer are limited due to the cost.

In view of this, we plan to launch a “Fundraising Extravaganza” made up of various events throughout the school year. It would be fantastic if we could take children on theatre trips, have performances in school, organise whole day dance experiences and provide more “hands on” experiences for the children in school (creepy crawlies, birds of prey etc.). These are just some of the ideas we have, but we are certainly open to suggestions!

To launch to Fundraising Campaign, we have a few events leading up to Christmas:-

Christmas Jumper Day - Wednesday 11th December (this coincides with Christmas Dinner Day). DONATION OF 50P.

Tombola Bonanza - to be held after school on Friday 13th

December, following “Carols around the Tree” at 2.30 p.m., to which everyone is invited.

We would like donations of the following during the next few weeks:

Week commencing 18th November – Bottles, full of anything from Tomato Ketchup to Champagne.

Week commencing 25th November – “Smellies” – Soap, perfume, bubble bath, candles etc.

Week commencing 2nd December – Chocolates and sweets.

From Wednesday 11th December – Cakes and buns.

We are also hoping to have a Linden Road “Bake Off”.

Our target for the year is to raise a whopping £5000 – we CAN do it, with your help! Follow our progress on the giant thermometer in the Office Reception area! We will also give updates on the school website.

More information and details about these events will follow during the coming weeks. Meanwhile, if you have any fundraising ideas, or would like to be involved in the organisation or running of events, please see Mrs. Boyle at the Office. We will be grateful of any help you can offer and would like everyone to get involved!
